Jan Knight - School Overseer for Year 3

I have known Jan for over 40 years and through many seasons of life and ministry. I am therefore delighted to have her serving on the leadership team with Prophets Rising.

As a spiritual mother to many she carries a wisdom, compassion and grace that drips the healing oil that Jesus has anointed her with.

Jan has a particular heart for the people group who neither discern the uniqueness of their platform or feel able to own what Christ has given them. The ones who are quietly living their lives, who often can’t see, or find it hard to acknowledge, what God sees in them. This may be because of past experiences where they have disqualified themselves or feel others have done that to them. Her heart for the restoration of prophetic voices is palpable.

She has a passion to see people step into their true identity and enjoy living as the person God created them to be. Having trained and worked with several ministries over the years, the most recent being Aslan’s Place, USA. She went on to lead two groups birthed from this, with her husband Paul.

They now lead together prophetic and supernatural workshops, where people are free to take risks and enjoy practicing their gifts, particularly their discernment, in a safe space.

Having retired from a long successful career teaching English to primary school children her main role outside of Prophets Rising is a pastoral manager of a Christian Youth Centre, which entails looking after the adults who live there and making links with the local churches.

She enjoys music of all kinds, singing, going to the theatre, eating out and staying at lovely hotels. She has just finished her forth year of studies with Prophets Rising and has been mentoring, hosting and teaching in the school whilst continuing her own journey as an emerging Prophet. She has found the training invaluable.

If she could write her vision on a t-shirt, it would be, “Small groups of people doing great exploits.”

Daniel 11:22the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.’

She is incredibly excited about what the next year holds for the Prophets Rising school and I am thrilled to be able to serve in team alongside someone with such seasoned wisdom and unrelenting compassion for all.
